An earthquake measuring 3.9 on Richter scale jolted surrounding area of Salmas city in west Azerbaijan Province early Sunday morning, IRNA news agency reported. According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at OO:51 hours local time (21:21 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 38.31 degrees latitude and 44.86 degrees longitude and in depth of 14 kilometers underground. There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
