An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale (according to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Astronomical Observatory) was recorded this morning at 5:00 AM local time in the Epirus region in north-western Greece. The epicentre of the quake was 24 km north-west of the city of Arta. There have not yet been any reports of material damage or casualties.(ANSAmed).
