Dar es Salaam - MENA
Egypt's Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has said it handed over 17 subterranean water wells to the Tanzanian government as the first batch of 70 wells to be dug to provide the Tanzanians with drinking water.
The 5.5 million-dollars project provides drinking water to inhabitants of one of the poorest areas in Tanzania, the ministry added.
The wells provide drinking water to the inhabitants at times of seasonal drought.
