Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Motaleb arrived Friday in Khartoum to take part in the third session of talks between eastern Nile basin countries slated for Saturday in the Sudanese capital. This round of negotiations is a part of Ethiopian, Sudanese and Egyptian efforts to bridge differences regarding the controversial Renaissance Dam in Ethiopia. During the previous rounds of talks the three countries have agreed to create an expert panel to study potential impact of the new dam on the downstream countries.
