A strong 7.4-magnitude earthquake off the coast of El Salvador caused minor shaking and little damage early Monday, authorities said. The quake struck about 12:37 a.m. EDT, 105 miles south southeast of San Salvador at depth of 32 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. A tsunami warning issued for Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama and Mexico by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii was later canceled.
