The Turkish General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning Tuesday regarding a heat wave expected to the southern and southeastern parts of Turkey.
According to the written statement made by sixth Regional Directorate of Meteorology, the temperature will rise above seasonal averages in provinces such as Mersin, Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, Hatay and Adana this week.
Temperatures in theses provinces are expected to rise as high as 109F (43 Celsius).
