Heavy rains in Thailand\'s northern provinces caused floods that have been wreaking havoc across local communities, officials said. About 1,000 homes have been affected by floods, while about 1,200 acres of farmlands have been inundated and schools have been forced to close because of flooding, MCOT news reported. Officials said, however, that the water level in the Pasak River is stable and that the floods should come to an end within two days if there is no more rain.
