Heavy storms in Poland have caused flooding and damage to roads, cars and homes, according to AP. Polish media say hundreds of firefighters worked through the night Thursday to deal with the storms' aftermath. In some places the rain was so heavy that streets temporarily looked like rivers. The worst situation was in Wojcieszow, a small town in the southwestern region of Silesia. On Friday the water level was dropping and many people in affected areas were clearing away mud and broken tree branches. More storms are expected on Friday.
