A family of three people, along with two dogs, were rescued from a New Brunswick, Canada, home surrounded by floodwaters, authorities said. The Cormorant helicopter made the rescue about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bathurst area, CBC News reported. The helicopter was called in because water and ice made it difficult for emergency officials to reach the family. The search-and-rescue helicopter was called from Canadian Forces Base Greenwood in Nova Scotia.
