A huge fire has broken out in a military zone in Turkey's southern province of Kilis bordering Syria, and small explosions have been heard from an ammunition depot there, Sky News reported on Thursday.

Fire fighters are working to put out the fire and traffic has been halted on a highway in the area, it added. 

There were no reports of any casualties and the cause of the fire is still unclear.
