The Third International Conference on \"Addressing Climate Change for the Sustainable Development from the Promotion of Renewable Energy Technology\" will begin here on Thursday. The conference is the third on renewable energy to be organized jointly by the Alternate Energy Promotion Center and the Energy Study Center under the Institute of Engineering in association with various organizations. Earlier, such conferences were held the first in 1998 and the second in 2003 in Kathmandu. The conference is expected to bring out concrete conclusions on various methods to be adopted in minimization of problems of climate change seen as major problem globally. The three-day conference will be participated in by some 300 renewable energy experts working in the energy and environment sector of 15 countries of the world including Nepal. Chairman of the conference organizing committee Triratna Bajracharya said that the formal inauguration of the conference will be on Oct. 15 even if it kicks off Thursday.
