The National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension (NCARE) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) discussed possibilities available to implement the Dryland Farming Program.The program aims to transfer modern agricultural technologies to a number of areas in southern Jordan in order to improve agriculture and enhance the standard of living of citizens.Director of the National Center, Fawzi Al-Sheyyab, stressed the center is willing to communicate with various institutions and international bodies concerned with the agricultural sector to achieve its aspirations of developing the agricultural sector.He also affirmed the importance of strengthening relations with the ICARDA, which is one of the first international institutions that support agricultural research and extension in Jordan and the region.The regional coordinator for the International Center of ICARDA, Halim Haji Saleh, stressed the strong relations with the Jordanian Center over the years through joint projects implemented at the regional level.
