The Kuwaiti Ambassador Naser Al-Mutairi on Monday made several field visits to areas in Bosnia-Herzegovina affected by severe floods and landslides over the past two weeks. The ambassador got a first-hand look at the scale of damage from the natural disasters and was briefed by local officials on the urgent needs of the people in these areas. In a statement, he said that he had prepared a plan, on behalf of the Kuwaiti government and local charities, aimed at fulfilling the needs of over a quarter of the population, who were displaced as a result. Kuwait stands by and sympathises with the victims of the floods, said the ambassador, pledging his nation's commitment to easing the suffering on the people of Bosnia-Herzegovina through assistance measures.
