Big Island, HI (CBS Newspath) In Hawaii, the last remaining house in a subdivision on the Big Island was destroyed by a fast moving lava flow. After being evacuated on Friday, paradise helicopters flew homeowner Jack Thompson back out to his property Saturday. Lava flows blanketed the road in front of Thompson\'s property, snaking through the trees and incinerating everything in its path. A tin roof on the hardened black lava rock and a water catchment tank were all that were left of the home he had lived in for the past thirty years. \"I was putting in the last window when it started in 1983...first day of\'83...the big glow up behind us...this is the second house I\'ve had in this sub–divisor...so I\'ve been on this mountain about 40 years...I think it\'s about the end of it...I don\'t think anybody will be living up here anymore,\" says Thompson. Thompson likened the visit to attending a funeral.
