A magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit a region in the eastern part of Indonesia on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The earthquake struck around 6:30 a.m. local time in the Sumbawa region and the epicenter was about 33 kilometers south of the village of Tolotangga, some 1,350 kilometers east of Jakarta, the agency added. The earthquake was about 72 kilometers deep, the agency said.
Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency said that there were no immediate reports of damages or casualties.
No tsunami warning has been issued, according to the US Geological Survey.
