A massive earthquake struck central and southernMexico Friday morning, the US Geological Survey says. The magnitude 7.5 earthquake occurred approximately 30 kilometres north-west ofthe city of Tecpan in the state of Guerrero.Earthquake alarms went off in Mexico City and thousands of people left their homesand offices in panic. The extent of damage resulting from the quake was still notknown.
