A series of explosions and fires struck an old weapons depot in southern Croatia on Tuesday, the country's Hina state news agency reported. The blasts ripped through the depot near the mountain town of Knin after wildfires raging across the region spread to the Stara Straza barracks, security officials said. There were no reported injuries. Some 200 people were evacuated from the surrounding area. Thick plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the depot from kilometers away.
