An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit northern Pakistan, Afghanistan, and south Tajikistan Saturday morning. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the quake took place at 9,16 am local time. The epicenter is in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region with a focal depth of 212 km. No report about loss of lives or damage to property has been received yet.
