A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.9 on the Richterscale, hit Luzon in the Philippines on Tuesday morning, the MalaysianMeteorological Department said.The quake’s epicentre was 39km southwest of Vigan City, Philippines and 1,221 kmnortheast of Kudat, Sabah, it said in a statement.It added the quake did not pose any tsunami threat.
