A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted India’s Nicobar Islands Thursday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The temblor struck at about 12.01 a.m., Xinhua reported. The quake’s epicentre, with a depth of 29.90 km, was initially determined to be at 6.3490 degrees north latitude and 92.9983 degrees east longitude.
