Nineteen cars that were modified for drifting have been seized by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in North Batinah, officials announced Monday evening.
The ROP has cited continuous efforts to reduce drifting in the Sultanate as part of their campaign.
Several cars were also seized by police patrols in Suwaiq, and legal proceedings are underway against their owners.
"We advise citizens to abide by laws, regulations and cooperation to reduce this phenomenon because it poses a danger to road users in particular and the population in general," the ROP said.
