A nuclear reactor at one of South Korea's nuclear power plants in Gyeongju stopped generating power due to malfunctions late Sunday. According to plant operators in the state-run Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co., a turbine and a generator of the Wolsong 1 reactor stopped due to the malfunction of a device that supplies exiting currents to the generator. Operators dismissed the possibility of a radiation leak or nuclear safety dangers. Procedures are underway to resume power generation after fixing the plant.
