Seismologists say a magnitude-6.0 earthquake has struck off the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, but there are no reports of damage or injury. According to AP, the U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at 6:29 a.m. local time (1229 GMT) and it was centered 31 miles (50 kilometers) west of Sardinal, some 11 miles (18 kilometers) below the surface. It was felt strongly along the coast, but the National Emergency Commission says it has received no reports of injuries or significant damage.
