Quakes Jolts waters off Taiwan

 A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit sea area of Yilan county in Taiwan at a depth of 15 kilometers at 12:29 pm Beijing Time on Thursday, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

    The epicenter was monitored at 24.77 degrees north latitude and 122.02 degrees east longitude, China's News Agency (Xinhua) reported.

    Meanwhile, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit a sea area of Yilan county in Taiwan at a depth of 15 kilometers at 11:17 am Beijing Time on Thursday, according to CENC.

    The epicenter was monitored at 24.71 degrees north latitude and 122.00 degrees east longitude.
