An earthquake measuring 5.4 on Richter scale struck off eastern part of Indonesia on Thursday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency reported here. The quake hit at 13:46 p.m. Jakarta time (0646 GMT) with epicenter 61 km southwest Keerom of Papua and with a depth of 10 km under sea bed, the agency said. Indonesia sits on a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire."
