An earthquake measuring 5.8 Richter scale jolted Aceh province in northern tip of Sumatra Island earlier Monday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here. The quake struck at 00:32 a.m. Jakarta time Monday (1732 GMT Sunday) with epicenter at 65 km southwest Aceh Barat of the province and with a depth of 14 km under seabed, an official of the agency told Xinhua by phone. Indonesia sits on a quake-hit zone known as \"the Pacific Ring of Fire.\"
