Drum seismograph records the shaking of the ground

An undersea quake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted the eastern parts of Indonesia on Saturday, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
The quake, which occurred at 15:06 Jakarta time (0806 GMT), was centered 95 km northwest Seram Bagian Barat of Maluku province with a depth of 10 km under sea bed, an official of the agency told Xinhua.
Indonesia is prone to quake as it sits on a vulnerable quake- hit zone called "the Pacific Ring of Fire."
