More than 600,000 homes in the US states of Michigan and Illinois were left without power after heavy winds and lightning ripped through the Northwestern US, officials said.
A woman from Illinois died after sustaining heavy injuries from a falling tree, while a Michigan man was electrocuted after coming into contact with a power line, RT reported.
Around 350,000 homes were left without power in Southeastern Michigan on Saturday.
Also more than 174,000 customers in Illinois were left without electricity after the storms.
