Sudan is to take part in the High-profile Meeting on Climate Change which will be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates(UAE) , Abu Dhabi during May 4-5 by a delegation would be chaired by Foreign Minister, Ali Karti. Foreign Ministry's Official Spokesman, Ambassador Abubakar Al-Sidiq said that the Foreign Minister has received an invitation from his UAE counterpart for participation in the Conference, disclosing that the delegation will comprises Minister of Environment and Forestry, Dr Hassan Abdul-Gadir Hilal, and Minister of Water Resources and Electricity, Engineer Maataz Musa He added the High-level Meeting is organized by the UN and UAE Government to prepare for Climate Change Summit which is scheduled to be held in New York in the next September He added the meeting will focus on political aspect of the climate change, explaining that a number of ministers of environment from different parts of the World, civil society organizations, private sector and some international dignitaries will partake in the Conference. The Ambassador further added that the Foreign Minister will hold on the sideline of the Conference bilateral meetings with his counterparts participating in the Conference as well as with UN senior officials.
