Temperatures will drop, yet remain slightly above average in most areas as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general to turn into cloudy to rainy accompanied with thunderstorms on the northwesterly and coastal areas. Rain will gradually spread over the rest areas of the country.
The wind will be southwesterly of moderate speed with active gusts, while the sea waves will be low to moderate in amplitude.
Weather forecaster Shadi Ghawish told SANA in a statement that the low air pressure will affect the country at today’s evening. The low pressure will affect the northwesterly and coastal areas them the rain falls will gradually include all areas across the country.
Ghawish added that temperatures will drop to become around of slightly lower than average on Wednesday.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 21/10, Daraa 22/11, Homs 18/04, Hama 15/04, Lattakia 21/10, Aleppo 18/08 and Deir Ezzor 21/10
