Thousands were without power due to the powerful Dagmar storm which swept over Sweden on Sunday night and Monday morning. More than 170,000 households lost power under the storm all over the country, Swedish Daily Dagens Nyheter reported on Monday. According to local media, trees have fallen onto houses and many roads. The railway traffic is also cancelled in northern Sweden, said the transport authorities Trafikverket. Police have suggested people not to drive on country roads due to fallen trees. \"We got 60 alarms from yesterday night,\" said a policeman in the capital city Stockholm. He told Dagens Nyheter that most cases were houses damaged by fallen trees. The storm Dagmar is among the ten strongest of its kind in Sweden in the past 30 years.
