Torrential rains hit the province of Kirklareli in northwestern Turkey Tuesday, triggering flash floods in many parts of the province, leaving three people dead, local newspaper Today\'s Zaman reported. According to the report, some 50 houses were flooded in Buyukkaristiran town of the province. People climbed on trees and the roofs of houses, waiting for the emergency teams to come and rescue them. Meanwhile, in the neighboring province of Tekirdag, around 300 people were trapped in flooded houses and later rescued by firefighting teams.
