Beijing - XINHUA
Thunderstorms will pound China's northeast regions from Sunday evening to Monday noon, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecasted on Sunday.
Thunders, torrential rain and even hails will lash the northeastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Jilin Province and Liaoning Province with precipitation of up to 80 millimeters.
The rainfall is expected to ameliorate the drought in parts of Liaoning and Jilin.
The NMC advised residents in these regions to stay indoors and prepare for bad weather.
