Transrhumel viaduct

The Transrhumel viaduct of the city of Constantine (431-km east of Algiers) will be inaugurated Saturday, announced Tuesday in Algiers Minister of Public Works Abdelkader Kadi.
Speaking on the National Radio, Kadi said that the delivery of the huge viaduct, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister, was delayed because of technical difficulties faced by the Brazilian group Andrade-Gutierrez in charge of the project.
To a question about the achievements of the sector from 2010 to 2014, Kadi cited the 570 kilometres of motorway, 484 km of expressways, 2,049 km of trunk and minor roads, as well as the renovation of nearly 11,600 km of existing roads.
As regards the East-West motorway, the minister said that all the projects have been launched to endow this infrastructure with all the required equipment and facilities, including maintenance and filling stations.
