An earthquake measuring 3.5 magnitude on the open-ended Richter scale jolted suburbs of Shahmirzad in Iran's Semnan Province on Thursday morning. The tremor's epicentre was at 35.94 degrees latitude and 53.23 degrees longitude at a depth of 8 kilometres, the IRNA news agency reported, citing a report released by the seismography centre of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute. There has been no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
