The Korea Meteorological Administration said Wednesday that the typhoon Damrey will approach the southern coasts of Jeju Island early Thursday. The storm is expected to soak Jeju with between 50 and 150 millimeters of heavy rainfall on Thursday, while the southern coasts of South Jeolla Province are likely to see precipitation of between five and 40 millimeters, according to (KBS World) website. The typhoon is projected to bring hot air as it moves northward, further raising the nation's already sweltering temperatures and high humidity.
