Dubai - WAM
Hind Mohammed Rashid Ghadeer has become the youngest Emirati child to make a generous donation to the U.A.E. Water Aid campaign which aims to provide clean drinking water to distressed people in poor countries.
The three-year old girl was moved by the images of young children in very poor areas to whom a sip of clean drinking water is as dear as the gift of life. With the blessing of her family, Hind quickly acted to help children with a generous donation of AED 500,000; an amount that can help as many as 20,000 people.
Hind’s response to the U.A.E. Water Aid campaign is a testament of the noble values of the people of U.A.E.; values instilled by the teachings of Islam and cherished by the founder of the U.A.E., the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose name is synonymous with charitable and humanitarian work.
Launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, the U.A.E. Water Aid campaign aims to provide access to fresh drinking water for 5 million people around the world who suffer from shortage of potable water.
