A 4.0-magnitude earthquake shook the city of Artux in Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of west China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region late Friday. According to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the epicenter was monitored at 40.5 degrees north latitude and 77.4 degrees east longitude with a depth of 5 km. No damages or injuries have been reported yet.
