The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has presented a donation of AED 2.250 million to U.A.E. Water Aid campaign, ( U.A.E. Suqia), which aims to provide fresh drinking water for five million people around the world.
Director-General of the Foundation, Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri announced this at an event held today at the foundation's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
He said that the move comes in implementation of the directives of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.
According to Al Dhahiri the humanitarian initiative of the wise leadership deserves support from all institutions and segments of the society.
He also gave a presentation on the projects, programmes and activities which are being implemented by the Foundation since its establishment in 1993 in more than 110 countries globally, in addition to the projects inside the country.
Al Dhahiri also referred to the activities of the foundation on the occasion of the Zayed Humanitarian Day and U.A.E. Water Aid Initiative and other projects.
