The Independent Coalition of Culture announced on Thursday 3 May that it would cancel its monthly El-Fan Midan event (Art is a square) due to a period of mourning for the people who lost their lives lost during the Abbasiya clashes Wednesday. El-Fan Midan takes place on the first Saturday of every month in Abdeen Square in Cairo, along with other governates on the same day.
