Refusing to follow the rules will get you in a lot of trouble. Stop insisting you are different from everyone else. The overwhelming number of people in your group have to go through the same set of safety precautions. Demanding special treatment is creating resentment. You may not care about being unpopular now, but this will change. You'll need the help of colleagues sooner than expected. At that point, you'll be unable to fulfil your responsibilities, making you vulnerable to dismissal.
