Don't overestimate your importance at work. Demanding special treatment will make your employer resentful. If you want a bigger salary, additional annual leave or an extra perk you must earn it. Putting in extra time and effort is the only way to impress the people you work with and for. While you're getting in their good graces, you should behave like everyone else. Wait in line and work within the constraints imposed on everyone else. If you think you can get a better job, apply for it. In the meantime, modesty is the best policy.
