Beware of giving an artist negative feedback. Just because their work isn't your cup of tea does not mean they should be discouraged. It's better to maintain a tactful silence than give them a detailed list of harsh criticisms. If someone asks what you think of this effort, simply say it's not your taste and let the subject drop. The last thing you want is to undermine someone's enthusiasm for writing, painting or playing music. They're not harming anyone; leave them alone.
