The Kaufbeuren, Germany-based bespoke carmaker is building 50 sedans and 50 coupes to celebrate its 50th year in business.
Like so many Alpinas, these Edition 50 models will be based on BMWs -- the current 5 Series and 6 Series -- but will feature unique, hand-crafted bodies and bespoke interiors and, crucially, a seriously overhauled V8 engine.
The revised powerplant will offer 600hp, and when transplanted into the Edition 50 will result in a 0-100kph time of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 204mph (328kph), making it the most powerful and one of the fastest cars in the company's history.
Prices will start at €118,000.
