The Syrian National Symphony Orchestra led by Maestro Misak Baghbudarian performed a number of musical pieces and oriental and Western songs within activities of the 10th International Symphonic Music Festival held at the Opera House in Algiers in presence of huge audience of music lovers.
On Sunday evening, the Orchestra members were honored by the management of the festival in presence of a number of diplomats at the embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Algiers.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Algiers, Baghbudarian said that what the orchestra performed was a mixture between oriental and Western songs with the same language which is the language of music.
He indicated that the participation of the orchestra in the festival came under the title of “Musicians from Syria” with the participation of many Syrian musicians who are living abroad such as the flute player Msalam Rahhal who lives in Spain and Soprano Cristina Isaac who has recently finished her study in Poland.
The International Symphonic Music Festival started activities on Saturday in Algiers and it will last till October 19th.
