US Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday started a second straight day of talks with his Iranian counterpart as the clock ticks down on a global bid to strike a nuclear deal.
Kerry met Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as well as the EU's chief negotiator Catherine Ashton in a New York hotel, shortly after he told the United Nations that it was Washington's "fervent hope" to reach a deal by the November 24 deadline.
