Polls opened Sunday in Sweden's general election, in which the Social Democrats are predicted to return to power after eight years in opposition while the anti-immigrant far right is also expected to make major gains.
If the opinion polls prove right, Stefan Loefven would become the next prime minister of the Nordic region's largest country, replacing incumbent Fredrik Reinfeldt of the centre-right Moderates.
