Pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine's self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic said Tuesday their breakaway region would hold polls on November 2 to elect a president and a legislative body.
"On November 2 we plan elections for the Supreme Soviet (parliament) and elections for the leader of the republic," the 'prime minister' of the Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, told the Interfax news agency.
