The Iraqi capital Baghdad is not in "imminent" danger from Islamic State jihadists despite battlefield gains by the group in the country's west, a US military spokesman said Thursday.
"We don't believe that Baghdad is under imminent threat," spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told a news conference.
