The United States used an emergency session of the UN Security Council on Saturday to demand an end to Russian intervention in Ukraine, accusing Moscow of violating international commitments. "It is time for the Russian intervention in Ukraine to end. The Russian military must stand down," US Ambassador Samantha Power said. "The aspirations of the Ukrainian people must be respected and political dialogue must be allowed to continue."
